We are on holiday!

A slow exit from our cabin after a late night! Went to Broken Hill for a play and milkshakes before hitting the road for Melrose. Remarkably flat landscape for much of the drive, before hitting some familiar looking bare hills of the mid north! We stopped in Peterborough to play on a train and buy some fruit, which we had been missing during the drive into south Australia and through the quarantine check. Pointed out the park where mum and dad’s car got trashed, many years ago during an evening of irresponsible behaviour!! 😲

Arrived at Melrose at 430, closely followed by mum and dad. Just time to set up camp, which will hopefully get a bit faster as we get used to it! Enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by mum and dad, with a few wines, along with Antony and Jodes who joined us a few hours later. Another late evening after wine and chatting around the fire, on a cold night!
